Are you struggling with the growth of your business because you are trying to do it all yourself?
Delegation can be hard to start doing, but it is a much-needed part of your life if you want to take your business to the next level, or even to just free up time so you can enjoy your friends, family and sleep!
As entrepreneurs we tend to do everything ourselves at least at first, and while yes, we CAN do that, it doesn’t mean it is a benefit to us.
Think of it this way…while you are trying to figure out how to update your website, create your own messaging, load everything into your email program, etc. how much money are you actually losing?
Yes, delegating means you have to put a little money out for assistance but in the long run you will be saving money because you can spend a little to get things done quickly and correctly or you can waste hours of time trying to learn something you really don’t want to learn and miss out on all the money that could be coming in from what your true talent and work should be focused on.
Start to make the decision to delegate by taking a few small steps such as:
- Write out what you would like to hand off to someone else.
- Put down instructions if you have a process in place that you would like to continue with so that next person can easily pick up the task and you spend less time training them.
- Ask some of your friends and colleagues for recommendations on who they use for these tasks and start to interview.
Just starting here will have you well on your way to delegating in no time.
And if you have any questions on how to know what to hand off, or you want to review your strategy and get some outside feedback, feel free to reach out. I am here to help.
