FAQ – Fractional COO
I am so glad you are considering working with me! I have been working with entrepreneurs in many different industries for 18 years to help them grow their business and free up their time. I allow them to work in their unique brilliance without the guilt of thinking they are missing an important element of their business growth.
I have worked in the capacity as both a CEO and a COO and that makes me a unique addition for you if we decide to work together. I will answer any additional questions in our Get Acquainted Call but I wanted to cover the most Frequently Asked Questions here as I’m sure it will answer a lot of questions ahead of time.
“How Do I Know You Are Qualified?”
I have been a business owner myself for 18 years. I have a wide skillset and I enhance my skills all the time. I am a continual learner of anything that interests me and I am not hesitant to share what I have learned with my clients. I want to see you have success and reach your goals. I take it upon myself to have a vast knowledge so you have the curated information you need, someone to run your business so you can work on it instead of in it. My expertise include operations, project management, process implementation, strategic planning, leadership, team building, execution, change management, business growth, human resources, finance, copywriting, copyediting, marketing and sales.
“Why should I hire a Fractional COO in order to grow my business?”
You can’t do it all yourself. If you try to you will inevitably get overwhelmed. I have a deep understanding of how business operates, how to make money, create strategies and make decisions that drive growth and success.
With my skillsets I understand all the moving elements that go into various projects such as with marketing and product launches, as well as how decisions will affect the company, employees, customers and bottom line. I think about your company holistically and help you to make strategic decisions for growth and success.
When we work together, my job is to be one step ahead of you as much as possible so I can effectively fill in the gaps that are needed, identify challenges and quickly determine root causes and solutions and implement those solutions effectively. I can assess situations objectively, break down complex issues or projects so they are manageable and find the right people to delegate to. You don’t have to do it alone.
“Do you have experience in my industry?”
I may, but it doesn’t matter either way. When I work with you, I learn about your business and industry and gather all types of information so that I can help you to grow it in the best way. I look for what will make you stand out from your competitors. I put in the time to get to know you, your business, your industry and what is working and not working to get you results.
“What Makes You Different From Other Fractional COO’s?”
I like to get to know my clients and build a relationship. Whether we work together one day a month, or several days a week, I care for your business as I would my own. None of my clients are less important than any others. I bring my best to everyone that I work with.
I care about my clients and what is going on in their life as well as their business. I will only work with clients that I enjoy and can have fun with. I feel that when you hire a fractional COO you should have a partner. I am always looking out for you and your business. I suggest new strategies, I make sure all the elements are in place that you need, I am your sounding board and the one you can vent to when needed also. I am always thinking of my clients and sharing what I learn that may help them. I am checking your stats and seeing how things are going. I am suggesting changes or tweaks to elements to make them perform better.
“Who Do You Work Best With?”
I work best with clients that are ready for this level of support in their business and that are not looking to hire an employee full time at this point.
I work best with clients that are ready to hand over responsibility and trust that things will get done so they don’t have to worry about it. I always choose to work with clients that I can have fun with and that I can grow with.
I get a lot of referrals but I don’t take on everyone. I want to ensure we are a good fit and will both have a wonderful experience and you get the results you are looking for. And if we are not a fit to work together I do have other resources I can refer you to.
“What Results Can I Expect?”
You can expect to be able to spend more time working “on” your business and less time “in” it. You can expect that you will feel less overwhelmed.
You can expect that your team will be stronger and work well together. They will be trained in all processes and work as a team should.
You can expect to grow your business significantly as we scale operations and plan accordingly.
“Do You Work Weekends?”
I don’t typically work weekends as that is my time with my family BUT when you are a client of mine, I am open to it if you request ahead of time (for instance to get a launch ready or tighten things up for an event or speaking gig). I also will respond if you have a quick question and send me a text on a weekend. I know as an entrepreneur you work on weekends sometimes so if I am available I am happy to help if needed.
